REUNION: Guilford?
After hearing about so many local Parmelee reunions, the thought has crossed my mind: What about a nationwide reunion in our home town of Guilford, Conn., in the next few years?
If it were planned far enough in advance would enough people be interested in going? Well, there's only one way to find out.
I've set up a guestbook to record your thoughts on the idea:
How long an event would you be up for? A daylong reunion--or one spread out over a Friday, Saturday and Sunday--or more?
What local family landmarks would you like to see?
What activities would you like to do?
How much are you willing to spend on accommodations? If there are enough of us and we plan this far enough in advance, perhaps a local hotel or two would give us a discounted rate. How many people in your family would go?
How much lead time would you need to make travel plans? Is 6 months enough? Maybe a year in the future is better?
What time of the year is best for you to make the trip? Suggest a couple of months.
