JAMES MABIE PARMELE FAMILY
Walter, Moses William, James, Moses, Hezekiah, Joel, John, John

James (1862-1898) was a carriage maker and farmer who lived in Davenport, Iowa, and Pittsburg, Kans. He was buried at Pittsburg's Mount Olive Cemetery.

At right is wife Evelyn Blanche (Hewes) Parmele (1865-1936) with "her two youngest daughters." The only daughter that I'm aware of who survived childhood was Verna Myra (1885-1965), who never married.

Here are the five adult children of James and Evelyn: Ira Lee Parmele (1897-1974), back row left, Verna Myra (Parmele) Chambers (1885-1965), James Byron Parmele (1895-1950), front row left, Fred Albert Parmele (1887-1946), and Walter Hewes Parmele (1889-1943).

We also have picture of James' father, Walter.
