Bani was buried at Kelsey Cemetery in Cornwall, Middlesex County, Conn. His grave would be near the left side of the above photo, not too far from the road.

When I visited the cemetery on Veterans Day 2007, I found the replacement DAR marker and what I believed to be Bani's headstone lying face-down. I didn't have any kind of lever with me and the stone was too heavy to turn over without one.

Next to his marker was that of his second wife, Charity.
