JEHIEL PARMELE 1752-1777
Jehiel, Joshua, John, John

Jehiel was one of three brothers who served during the war.

He was probably born at Farmington, Hartfield County, Conn.

Only nine months before he died, he was named guardian for his brother Joel.

The day before his death, he drew up a will, giving $30 to brother Amos, his black colt to Joel, and dividing his farming and carpentry tools between the two; his sister Mary was the administrator of his estate which was valued at 351 pounds, 11 shillings and 2 pence.

He was buried at the Milton Cemetery, outside of Litchfield, Conn.

His stone reads:

In Memory of
Mr. Jehiel Parmele
He died July 17th,
1777 in ye 25th
year of his Age
